January DCM Agenda and Surf City Service Opportunity

Happy Friday Magic Kingdom! :) 

I hope you all are excited for all of the great events that we have coming up this weekend and are all planning on attending to support our fellow Circle K clubs! 

THANK YOU so much to everyone that attended the January DCM and special thank you to Whittier College for hosting us! We had a lot of fun making the blankets and listening to music and we had a great DCM to follow. Attached is the newly edited January DCM Agenda, so please make sure to refer to it for the up-to-date information. There is a lot of new information that was added that was presented at the meeting so take note of the changes. Remember that the changes are indicated in RED. 

I do have another service project opportunity for you all! Every year the Surf City Marathon is an event that we all partake in. With it's fast-paced water stations and early hours, it is always an event that is extremely memorable. This year, the event needs us elsewhere besides the actual day of the race. Before the day of the race begins, they have an Expo that the runners are able to go to and receive their bibs as well as purchase products and merchandise to commemorate their marathon experience. With that, they need our help! 

Surf City Marathon Expo

When: Friday, February 1 from 2:00pm until 7:30pm

Where: Huntington Beach, CA in the beach parking lot (Exact location TBA) 

What: We are going to be helping with registration, t-shirt distribution, and any other tasks that they need to get done. For those of you who went to Disneyland Half Marathon Expo, this is very similar to that. This is going to be a very busy time and so they will need up to 60 volunteers! So please advertise this to your clubs so that we can get a good turnout! 

I hope I will get to see many of you come out to the Surf City Expo! :)
