Dear brothers and sisters,

In Phnom Penh, Cambodia: At the night of 22 November , there was a tragic incident during the last day of Water festival caused by the stampede on the a bridge at Koh Pich island. 351 people died and 395 got injured within only 3 hours. This is a biggest tragedy ever since the civil war 30 years ago. Our beautiful Water Festival that is a yearly tradition has turned out to be tragedy, and all of us are very sad and are now mourning for the losses of lives of those innocent Cambodians.

As brothers and sisters, we Cambodian students in UTP would like to call for your help of donation to help those victims who are currently in need of medical care, as well as to help the families of the people who lost their lives with the funeral. The donation will go straight to the Bayon TV Donation Drive.

Thanks Naufal for your concerns. Alhamdulilah none of my relative involved in that incident. Most of victims come from different province through out the country. It is really sad because hundred of people died within one night during the water festival.
