Fwd: Appeal for funds to help an acid attack survivor

Hajida is a 25-year-old acid attack survivor from Machilipatnam. In 2014, she was attacked by a man who had asked for her hand in marriage. Hajida refused, so one day, as her mother and she were walking through the market, he flung two full buckets of acid at them. In her attempt to shield her daughter, Hadjida's mother bore the brunt of the attack and soon succumbed to her injuries. Hajida herself suffered 80% burns. Her sister Asma has been nursing her ever since.
This letter is an appeal for funds for Hajida.
Thanks to the efforts of several people, Hajida is now getting treatment in Apollo hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The Andhra Pradesh government is taking care of the expenses for the several surgeries she requires, as well as other expenses related to the hospital. An organization from Bangalore is helping to pay for some of the medicines. As of now she had undergone reconstructive for her eyelids, nose, mouth and hands.
However, Hajida's frequent trips to Hyderabad are still too expensive for her and her family to bear. Her sister Asma left her job since she is the primary care giver and needs to accompany Hajida so often . Since neither Asma, Hajida nor their elderly father are able to work, the family cannot make ends meet and continue traveling to Hyderabad -- putting Hajida's treatment at risk.
This is an appeal to join us in providing the support that Hajida still needs to complete her treatment. We are asking your contribution towards her day-to-day expenses for food and travel while staying in the city. In addition, we ask you to open your doors to provide comfortable accommodation to Hajida and Asma when they come to Hyderabad if you can, or to help with organising accommodation close to the Apollo Hospital where she receives treatment. In addition, any help with their transport, meals, post-operative care, or even a visit them in hospital would be very gratefully appreciated.
