Hightlights and Heroes of Mongolian Buddhism
At the suggestion of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, in the years 2001 and 2002 FPMT produced a series of 26 episodes which was
subsequently aired on Mongol TV, the government TV channel. We asked a famous movie actor to introduce each episode, in
practice a collection of Dharma teachings by several Tibetan and Western teachers, on subjects taken from the Great Exposition of
the Gradual Path to Enlightenment, by Lama Tzong Khapa. It had an enormous success, with over 60% of the total audience
following it. It was aired again one year later, and several episodes were aired several times at the request of the public. Later on,
FPMT edited the material and produced the series called " Discovery Buddhism" for the Western public. This is the original series,
before dubbing in Mongolian and it is totally unedited and unpublished before today. It is converted from old magnetic tapes, so
quality is not so great. But the content is unique.
With Richard Gere, Keanu Reeves and Pierce Brosnan
