法国电信公司 Orange 因违反 GNU GPL v2 许可被罚 65 万欧元——50 万欧元经济赔偿和 15 万欧元精神赔偿。Orange 的 IDMP platform 使用了名叫 Lasso 的库，Lasso 在 GPLv2 下授权，它也有商业授权。Orange 要么按照 GPLv2 许可证要求公布它的源代码，要么从版权所有者 Entr'Ouvert 购买许可证。Orange 没有付费也没有遵守 GPL 要求。法国上诉法庭判决 Orange 侵权行为成立。
