DAILY QUESTION
You hold: 4 2 8 6 5 K Q 9 Q 10 8 3 2

Dealer, at your left, opens one diamond. Your partner
doubles, and the next player passes. What do you say?

ANSWER
A response of two clubs might work out; but you'd make
that bid with no points. Bid 1NT, promising six to nine points,
balanced pattern and a trick or two in the opening bidder's suit.
This bid will get you to 3NT, the most likely game, if partner
has ext ra strength.
