请教关于Modem的传输问题

现在有一个程序是关于TCP/IP上的视频监控系统.
我现在想把它改成通过Modem进行通讯,拨号服务器采用的是
windows98中拨号网络自带的.
但是在传送了几帧图像后,Client和Server之间的socket连接
就会断开,不过拨号连接没有断开, 不知上述情况是什么原因造成的?

是因为windows98的拨号服务器不稳定吗?如果是这样,不知
哪位有好的拨号服务器(for windows98, not nt)
