We’re looking for a contract network engineer. You’ll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and administration of our Cisco network, F5 load balancers and a variety of other networking technologies (some of which are research prototypes). The successful candidate will be proficient in IOS, have a detailed understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 topologies, have experience with network design and optimization, and have very strong troubleshooting skills. Our network supports active, ongoing research projects, changes frequently, and is highly nonstandard—but it also needs to be reliable.
In addition to strong networking skills, you’ll need to have excellent Windows troubleshooting skills, both on the server and client platforms. A solid understanding of Unix and Mac platforms is also useful (although not required), since our team supports interoperability research. Additionally, our office runs in English, so you will need strong English language skills.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in all of the following technologies:

-DHCP
-WINS
-Scripting
-IIS/SQL
