emacs-23.4与cedet-1.1能正常工作吗？

Gentoo系统中使用emacs+cedet，
built-in cedet能够正常工作。
自行安装的cedet，
无论是Portage的，还是el-get的，
均无法正常工作。

app-emacs/cedet的维护者说，
这是cedet上游的问题，与gentoo无关。

不知道其他发行版的cedet包工作能正常吗？
M-x global-ede-mode
能够调出Development菜单？

我是windows下的23.4用的一直没啥问题

你是指手动安装emacs？这个还真没想过。

其实，我也不清楚我碰到的问题是不是由Emacs引起的。
只不过从app-emacs/cedet维护者的回复来看，
估计他的emacs也碰到了同样的问题且无法解决。

不是，自己下一个CEDET，Google一下，主页上有下载
我使用的CVS的CEDET，挺好的，没啥问题
你为啥不用系统自己带的EDE？

我入手emacs使用的是XEmacs
包管理也是有诸多问题的
我转到GNU Emacs后，至少目前对包管理工具没啥兴趣

XEmacs其实新人入手挺好的，什么都带全了，啥都不用装
后来XEmacs的作者都放弃了，我也放弃了
