Dear new entrants,

We are looking for an apartment mate for the coming academic year 2013-14 in a 2BR apartment. The lease starts in August 2013 and ends July 2014.

The details are:

Rent: $365/month including all utilities, e.g. electricity, water, gas, etc. Internet is additional at ~$25/month.
The apartment is part of an apartment complex (Amberson Apartments) located roughly 3 blocks from campus. http://g.co/maps/78sph

• Lots of eating places nearby, e.g. Chipotle, Qdoba, PennSubs, etc.
  
• Grocery stores, e.g. Giant Eagle and Bombay Mart are 4 blocks each from the house.
• Supercuts (a hair salon outlet) is 3 blocks away.
The building has a card operated laundry in the basement.
Rent payment is simple: the management's office is in the complex itself. No need to mail checks or go anywhere else.

Centrally heated.

The other advantages of taking up this space to you are:

• In terms of your furniture requirements, we have mostly everything you need: table, chair, mattress, lamp, fan, etc. Of course, you are free to replace/ add anything you like.
Amberson apartments is one of favorite housing options for CMU students because of proximity to the campus, and cheap prices. However, they run out very quickly. You'll find a substantial number of CMU students living in one of the 6 buildings here.
And of course, this takes away the need for you to apartment hunt from India. Apartment hunting and setting it up for initial use can be a challenge in and of itself!
