Amberson Apartments from mid-May to sometime in August. Dates are very
flexible, and the price is negotiable!
Amberson is just off Morewood Avenue in Shadyside, and is a 11 minute walk
from campus, right next to a CMU shuttle stop. I think it is the best
apartment complex anywhere near campus. The place is fully furnished, and
the kitchen is fully equipped. The kitchen was remodeled about 3 years
ago, with new appliances and cabinets, and is in WONDERFUL shape. The
bathroom was redone at the same time; it is GREAT. The entire apartment
is clean and VERY pleasant. The apartment has FREE wireless DSL.
The bedroom is LARGE and very comfortable, with two closets. You will
have use of a third, walk-in closet as well. Additional storage space is
available in the basement. There will be room for all your stuff this
summer!
The other bedroom will be occupied by a male CS grad student working at
Intel Research this summer. (Very friendly, quiet, and clean)
Rent will be $495/month for one bedroom. All utilities (even phone/DSL)
are included, and you can use my wireless router. Yes, that is right,
free wireless for the summer! The rent is negotiable, too!
If you sublet, you can have some furniture free, permanently:
* twin mattress and boxspring
* 3 shelf bookcase
* white end table
* possibly other stuff!!
Amberson has good laundry facilities, storage lockers, and very responsive
management and maintenance. Some other advantages include:
