Hi Hemant,
You had said that u would help us out with our course queries...
I am interested in Computer architecture n embedded systems in general. So which 3 of the foll courses would be helpful for the 1st sem n not too heavy as far as workload is concerned:-
1)Introduction to ECE
2)Fundamentals of embedded sys
3)Embedded systems engg
4)embedded real time sys
5)Computer architecture..?

Im an electronics engineer from mumbai university..n have studied microprocessors n pentium processors in general..but not in great detail.

I would be really grateful if u would help me out

Thanks a lot!!

Hi Mugdha,

I understand that you are over- underestimating yourself by considering intro to ECE as a course!!! It is like BEE of FE, do you wanna start your MS with that? Is it? Think thousand times before stooping so low. Other courses seem good, but I have been to adv. comp. arch. classes in this spring and have taken an embedded course last fall, I dont really see the connection between the two branches. Anyway, Computer Acrhitecture is a good start, and so does Embedded Real-Time Systems (both graduate). the undergrad courses (below 600 level) need serious thinking if to be taken or not. But, I presume you are not a great champ at C programing, so you might wanna consider 15-213 cross listed as 18-243 as the third one.

Hope the info helps.

Regards,
Hemant Agrawal.
