Hi all,

Can someone tell me please about the financial statements shown for
your I20s. I wanted to know if anyone of you showed a Salary Statement
apart from the Bank Statements as your source of funding and if yes,
then upto what percentage of $55K (which was to be shown for 1 year) ?
Please I really needed this information. Thanks in advance.

@Arjun: No, I meant not your own salary statement but might be of you parents or relatives willing to fund you. But I can understand what you mean, thanks.

So should I assume that everyone showed bank statemnts only, no salary statements.
Besides for bank statements did u showed in your name or through family?

Thanks !!

Hi guys,

I think that you do not have to prove how your parents/supporters are earning their money. Thats none of US's business. the only thing that they need to know is that the income is steady, for that past 2 years' income tax statements is enough, so u can forgo the salary statements, immediate bank statements(preferably not more than a week older than the date of visa interview) and income tax statements should suffice.

All the best.

Hemant Agrawal.

Hi,

@ Hemanth: Hi, youve put it perfectly. When I had similar doubts, i had called up CMU, all they needed was one single bank statement that proved the financial capability.

@ neha: well, what we did was , asked our bank here to consolidate all the money we had we them and convert to USD at a conversion rate...and we sent that.
