I've submitted data for PREV-9 and PREV-10 for several patients through the API, but once we download the spreadsheet from the webpage for some reason their PREV-7 have all had "Yes" populated for influenze immunization as well. Any thoughts?

Also getting a code 500 Internal Server Error when attempting to patch more benficiary data, do we know when this will be back up?

Hi Irene,

When you submitted data through the API, was that prior to the close of the test period on Friday, January 18th?  We have started the 2018 submission period as of 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 22nd at 10:00 AM EST.  Any data that was entered in the test period was removed.

Also, can you confirm that the Web Interface APIs that your accessing are using the production system and not the preview environment that is no longer available?  The URL for the production environment APIs begin with "https://qpp.cms.gov/api/submissions/web-interface/".   Please see the Swagger documentation for details on the available Web Interface APIs:  https://qpp.cms.gov/api/submissions/web-interface/docs/

Please let us know if you are still having trouble submitting your beneficiary sample updates at your earliest convenience.

Thank you

Bill Schwartz

I didn't start submitting until yesterday afternoon. Eventually the error went away and I was able to submit more beneficiary data. But still running into the quirk of PREV-7 auto populating for patients that I only submitted data for PREV-9 and 10, and this is via confirming by downloading the spreadsheet itself from the front end.

Hi Kim,

For the PREV-7 measure, it is auto-populated if it was determined that the patient received a flu shot.  Additional details can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of the Web Interface.  I'm including an excerpt from the FAQ below:

PREV-7 (flu shot) is the only instance where numerator-specific data are prepopulated. Note that influenza immunization data are not prepopulated for all beneficiaries ranked in PREV-7, but only those for whom an immunization could be identified in the claims data. If influenza immunization data has been prepopulated for a patient, the ACO or MIPS group does not need to validate that data. If the ACO or MIPS group is selected for an audit, the ACO or MIPS group will not have to provide medical record documentation for prepopulated influenza immunization data. However, if influenza immunization data are not prepopulated, the ACO or MIPS group should refer to the patient’s medical record to determine if an influenza immunization was administered in accordance with the measure specifications, and should document their findings in the CMS Web Interface. Should your organization be selected for an audit, the influenza immunization data that is obtained from the medical record (i.e., not prepopulated from claims data) is subject to provision of supporting documentation.

Ah I see, must have just been perfect timing on my part then to see the auto population. Thanks!
