Introducing CMS’ new AB2D API website

Get easier access to AB2D documentation, developer tools, and API requirements.

Based on feedback and user research, we’ve redesigned and revised the content on ab2d.cms.gov to create a more seamless and intuitive experience. New site pages include:

• About (new)
  Review the history, permitted uses, and use cases of the AB2D API.

• API Documentation (new)
  Find instructions on how to get a bearer token, access claims data, and use parameters. This includes content previously located on the ab2d-pdp-documentation GitHub.  

• AB2D Data (formerly Understanding AB2D Data)

Get a better understanding of AB2D data with the Data Dictionary, Claims Data Details, sample files, and JSON resources. 

• Production Access (formerly Accessing Claims Data)
  Review the steps to attest and access Medicare claims data for a seamless onboarding process. 

• Support (formerly Support & FAQs)
  Review frequently asked questions, join our Google Group, and contact the AB2D team.
