Observed behavior: when i try to run mac.input it prints nothing and shows it as failed.
Question:
im finding it hard to find the cause without being able to see the output. is there some simple mistake im making that would cause this? i put a PC+=4 in the same place that the teacher did in the lab video

your PC handling is wrong. think of it as "for each instruction how much should it be incremented and where"

should i implement it in each execute_*** function or every switch case?
I'm not sure if instructions of the same type would have different requirements or if their all the same as long as the *type is the same
