How the midterm grades were calculated ?
- We added +2 points for everyone to account for typos in two questions
- We scaled Section B, C, D based on your performance in assignment 2 and 3.
e.g 1., Canvas score is 20. 100% grade in assignment 2 and 3. Final score on coursys = 20 + 7 (Ass 2 scaling) + 7 (Ass 3 scaling) + 2 points = 36
e.g 2., Canvas score 20. 50% grade in assignment 2. 25% grade in assignment 3.
20 + 7 * 0.5 + 7 * 0.25 + 2 = 20 + 3.5 + 1.75 + 2 = 26.75 = 27
If you wish to evaluate any question on your midterm, we will then re-run the tests and revaluate your assignment 2 and 3 again as well and your scores may change for all of them (Assignment 2, 3 and Midterm).
