Question: I have followed the instructions of the Lab 9 video, and filled out mm_malloc(). However I am getting seg faults. I would highly appreciate if you could take a look and let me know where I am going wrong.

Please use gdb, as it was mentioned in the lab 9, to find the source of the error. And, put the screenshot of the output of the examine_heap here.
