Hi

I have been developing a CMIS API for KnowledgeTree, and am currently
working on checkout and checkin. I chose CMIS Spaces as my main test
client because it appeared to be the most complete and up to date
client available, and overall it has been pretty good to work with and
has aided my development substantially.

I found that when checking in a document via CMIS Spaces I do not get
an option to select a file for upload as the newly checked in content,
meaning that since we don't support updating of the PWC content
directly (this being optional in the CMIS specification) there is no
way I can checkin with updated content.

Our underlying implementation (the code underneath the CMIS API, in
our base system) forbids checking in without any uploaded content, and
so the checkin cannot function as intended when using CMIS.

Will a future version of CMIS Spaces support selection of a modified/
new file for checkin as the new version or should I look for something
else with which to test this functionality.

I have considered looking into the source and attempting to add this
upload option myself, by copying ideas from the create document
functions. I have not worked with this particular programming
language before but it seems likely I would be able to achieve my goal
(whether time is available is another question,) but if you are
planning on working on this same functionality then there is no reason
I should as well.

thanks

Paul

I plan on adding implementation of File / Update (which in FlexSpaces
displays a upload dialog an allows you to upload the content of a
selected item). For Checkin, only going to add a dialog to select
major/minor version and add a checkin comment.

Also hae been planning on adding drag out (mentioned on twitter as
something desired)

(re-doing reply which didn't get posted (or maybe I just used reply to
author instead of reply)
