Looking for high-performance rechargeable AA batteries adapter for digital
camera.

I just saw an "Energizer Rechargeable" package at Sam's Club, $31. It comes
with 4 (AA, NiMH 1850mAh) batteries, an electric outlet adapter, and one car
adapter. Product model number: RESM1HR-4

It boosts "quick charger charges in 1 hour." Also, "Lasts up to 2.5x longer
in digital cameras!"

Have anybody used it? How do you feel about it?

Or any other high-performance rechargeable AA batteries adapter you would
recommend? What is it and how much/ where to get it?

Thanks!

Mike

All modern AA ni-mh chargers should be okay. Just pickup anything if
you don't care.

Otherwise, Sanyo 1 hour rapid charger at www.ritzcamera.com stores is
the best all-in-one charger around; the Rayovac 1 hour with external AC
adapter is another choice.

Be careful re: charge times. eg. the Sony 1 hour charger is NOT a 1
hour charger - the note in fine print on the back says that it only
achieves 80% charge in 1 hour, and takes longer for full charge.

Rapid charging reduces battery life.

I had bad luck with the Ray-o-Vac -- the batteries would get very hot
and not reach full charge. My eveready charger works much better.

But I agree with Chien. Just pick up anything if you don't care. I don't
agree that all modern chargers should be ok. They're not all identical.

Decide if you want to be able to recharge in auto, are fussy about
re-charge time and if you have a use for AAA re-chargeables. If you
don't need the auto capability and don't mind the long charge time the
$10 three in one (Rayovac)will charge AAA's AA's NiMH, NiCD, and
rechargeable alkalines. I intend to get one for the last item, I have
a little sony radio that takes 2 AAA's. Personally, I have no problem
with overnight charging, it's safe and I have to sleep anyway.
