Although I've yet to finish reading today's newz-gazoo (05 Jun 00), I
noticed there was a blurb
<http://www.news-gazette.com/story.cfm?Number=7292> about this upcoming
purveyor of fried pastries :) Apparently, Carmella's is a venture by
the same folks who started Bagelman's. They've been doing doughnuts for
about 9 mos. or so now, and they decided to dedicate a particular locale
for the production of said product(s)! At least that's what I remember
when I glanced through the article.
I do believe this venture will definitely last longer than the previous
resident, a (IMHO) fly-by-night loan company (have they gone "public"
yet [grin]?)! Time will tell, but if this venture follows the path of
their bagels, it's bound to be a success (?)!!!!! :)

But the donuts were pretty good, tasted fresh, etc.
Hooray for a new donut shop in town!!!

I've found Carmella's to be much better than Schnuck's, or the former
Dandy (Dunkin) Donuts. Worth a few cents extra.
