Eye On Patient – Residency Simulation Program

A group described their experience with the scenarios in this program as "more fun than "House"- the famous medical mystery series"!!
The Approach includes 3 components:
1-Internal Medicine "Emergency Room Simulation” involving:
a- Most of the scenarios are acted out by trainees not by the instructors, including physically acting of signs in a fun environment and solving mysteries.The trainees don't necessarily need much of a medical background.b- Covering the most common presentations seen in the Internal Medicine ER (emergency room). Some “Virtual patients” in the scenarios are “virtually followed up” later and further management thus demonstrated.
c- Creative videos.

2-"Residency Simulation" Program.
Attendents use what they have learnt to “receive” real patients and “manage” them in steps very similar to those done by qualified residents including:
• Real life ER (Emergency Room) experience: suggesting initial diagnosis and management as soon as the patient reaches the ER.

3- Paient Education Dream Day:
Education of hundreds of patient

هل تريد أن تتعلم عمليا كيف تشخص و تعالج أهم الأمراض التي تأتي إلى إستقبال الأمراض الباطنة بأساليب مبتكرة تشمل:
• دورة "محاكاة إستقبال الأمراض الباطنة" حيث تمثل بنفسك سينوريوهات و تمثيليات طبية و تقوم بالتشخيص بناء على سيناريوهات يمثلها مدربك و زملائك “live” و في فيديوهات.
• نزول عملي إلى إستقبال الأمراض الباطنة و مع تمكينك - بناء على ما تعلمته - من الوصول إلى تشخيص مبدئي و إقتراح الفحوصات و العلاج المناسب للمرضى

ما بالك لو كنت أثناء ذلك و تخدم مجموعات كبيرة من المرضى؟

هل تعلم أنك تستطيع أن تنقذ حياة مريض عن طريق "إستلامه" و تعليمه الإرشادات الخاصة بمرضه؟

الجدول:

الأربعاء : ٦-٢-٢٠١٣ - ٩ صباحا إلى ٤ عصرا
ورشة محاكاة طوارئ الباطنة - الجزء الأول

الأربعاء : ٢٠-٢-٢٠١٣ - ٢ ظهرا إلى ٥ عصرا
ورشة محاكاة طوارئ الباطنة - الجزء الثاني

يتخلل ذلك مواعيد خاصة لكل مجموعة للنزول في طوارئ الباطنة و لتوعية المرضى و لأنشطة إدارة الوقت (روحية - عقلية - بدنية - إجتماعية) بالتنسيق بين PDNE و مشروع ABC

ملحوظة: الأعداد محدودة و ستكون الأولوية في قبول المتقدمين لهذه المشاريع إن شاء الله حسب

تكلفة الإشتراك:
٢٠ جنيه للطلبة و أطباء الإمتيازة
٥٠ جنيه ل و الخريجين
(يتم إعفاء أطباء الإمتياز المشتركون من خلال البرنامج الرسمي لتدريب أطباء الإمتياز)

N.B. 2: Those who complete the program will be entitled to join the future 2nd phase including:
Scenarios covering
Skill lab training
Use of manikins to provide more practice especially on basic life support.
Real life ward experience: Meeting the patients that have been just admitted to the ward from the ER, and with the help of special patient follow up sheets, suggesting investigations and treatment and performing psychological support and health education.
Discussion of cases with faculty staff
