Join us this Friday as we celebrate Christmas a little early with a PARTY, and white elephant gift exchange! (Please bring a gender-neutral gift of ~$10 to exchange with your fellow CMDAers).
IN ADDITION... I wanted to let you all know about this AMAZING WEEKEND RETREAT that we have planned at the end of February Called "Telos '11" (Mark your calendars Feb. 25th-27th). The leadership team looked at all of your exam schedules and made sure nothing big was right after, so you have no excuses--you HAVE TO come!!!

"Telos '11 is InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's annual Graduate
and Faculty weekend retreat held from Friday, Feb. 25 to Sunday Feb.
27. Located at a Bed and Breakfast in the stunning Catskill Mountains,
come join the beloved community of graduate students and faculty from
all over NY/NJ as we explore the integration of Christian faith with the
vocational calling and privilege of our education that God has granted
us. Spouses and children are welcome (see the Family Registration form
for more details and discounts!) The theme this year is "Radical
Hospitality: Jesus' invitation to community" from 1 John 3:16-24:
Resting in the presence of God is impossible when our hearts
condemn us to the prisons of driving work and lifestyles that demand our
worship. Yet Jesus invites a different
worship: that of laying down our lives and resources for the sake of God’s
radical invitation of loving our neighbors with God’s love. This worship frees us from the
condemnation of our hearts. This
worship allows God’s love and presence to flourish within both us, and the
community He has called us to dwell in.
Join us this weekend at Telos ’11 as we practice the spiritual discipline of
hospitality: making room for God, neighbor, and community within our lives, in
the manner that Jesus has made room for us within God’s triune life.
Deadline
for early registration is Dec. 4, but if 5 or more students sign up
from NYUCD-CMDA, the deadline can be pushed back to December 31, 2010.
