CMDA announcements! Christmas party details included.

welcome back my CMDA'er :)
i hope that every had a restful break and ate lots of turkey! a few short & sweet announcements to give you a heads up about the upcoming events :)
1. Annual Christmas Party!
- when: 12/11/09 Next Friday on 5-7pm
- where: 3W
- what: join us for great food, gift exchange, and the REAL meaning for Christmas :)
*** regarding white elephant gift exchange: please bring something gift that is under $10, it can be bought, or simply something that has been sitting in your apartment for 5 months, that you know someone else will simply love :)
*** we will be collecting dental supplies donations (toothbrushes/toothpastes/floss/etc), since one of our own CMDA member will be going away for Haiti missions during Christmas. Please bring 3-5 items of unused dental supplies if you can (for me I’m just going to use the ones I got from the Greater NY dental meeting). It can be travel size or big original ones… whatever you feel like giving away.
***food people: you either know who you are or will be contacted.
2. Welcome back meeting 1/8/10
yes! We do plan ahead of time don’t we? Please mark in your calendars since we will be having welcome back meeting on the 1st Friday you get back from January. More details on that to come.
3. Community Service outreach on 1/22/10
Last meeting we all heard testimonies regarding the “don’t walk by” movement that is to take place next month. Excellent opportunity to meet homless people, engage with them, and make a difference in the city we live in. This community service outreach will replace the CMDA meeting for that week. For those who are interested in signing up please let me know before Christmas break so I can get a head count.
