Resting in the presence of God is impossible when our hearts condemn us to the prisons of driving work and lifestyles that demand our worship. Yet Jesus invites a different worship: that of laying down our lives and resources for the sake of God’s radical invitation of loving our neighbors with God’s love. This worship frees us from the condemnation of our hearts. This worship allows God’s love and presence to flourish within both us, and the community He has called us to dwell in.
Join us this weekend at Telos ’11 as we practice the spiritual discipline of hospitality: making room for God, neighbor, and community within our lives, in the manner that Jesus has made room for us within God’s triune life.
Deadline for early registration is Dec. 4, but if 5 or more students sign up from NYUCD-CMDA, the deadline can be pushed back to December 31, 2010. Price increases afterwards. Hope to see you there!"
