Hi Folks,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying this lovely weather. The animals at the Farm are certainly happy not to be snowed or iced in at this point in the year. I wanted to remind you that The GateHouse Gift Shop will be open today and tomorrow from 10 to 5 pm for last minute gift purchases. We will of course be closed for Christmas Day and then will be open 10 am to 5 pm, Monday, Dec. 26 through Saturday, Dec. 31 for the Annual 40% Off Sale. Our shop manager put together a list of the range of items (see below) that we carry in case you’ve never visited before and our prices are very reasonable!
This has been a good year for the Farm with substantial progress on our facilities, three great Market Fairs, weekly Book Sales and a successful Pavilions rental season. All of this is what makes it possible for us to host thousands of school children learning about 18th century life and farming through the Farm Skills and Environmental Living Programs and visiting the Colonial Farm. Living as we do in such an urban area, it is terribly important and that we do all we can to educate people about where their food comes. No society remains free without the ability to feed, clothe and house itself -- all products that flow from agriculture.
All of us at the Farm thank you for your continued patronage and support. And at this festive time of the year we wish you Peace and Joy.
