A tradition that has been continued in Australia for the last 33 years in Chinmaya Mission, where devotees gather to invoke the grace of Lord Vishnu the maintainer of the Universe to bless us the prosperity, good health and peace for the new year by Vishnu Sahasranaama Archana worship. Therefore Start the New Year with the Blessings of the Lord.
Chant the Lord's 1000 names and make a wish for the year.
Program (starts 8.30am sharp)
* Pooja (Worship) of Lord Vishnu
* Vishnu Sahasranama Archana by all
* Bhajans
* Arati
* Lunch
What to bring?
It is tradition that we offer the Lord something for each name chanted. So you can bring one of the following:
* 1000 flowers
* 1000 petals
* 1000 gold/silver coins
* Akshata
Also, two plates, one plate with your offering and another plate to offer the offerings into.
