I was wondering what the plans and/or current compatibility with Cassandra 2.0 are?

We haven't tried with Cassandra 2.0 yet but will do so eventually. Feel free to try it yourself (I'm not aware of any big reasons why it shouldn't work), but we are not officially supporting it yet.
