Hi,

I have been successfully using cmake with Eclipe 4.6.3. Now I need to change to Eclipse 4.19. I thought that would be a very straightforward change but when i am trying to install cmake4eclipe in the new Eclipse version i get the following message:

"The following solutions are not available: cmake4eclipse 2.1.4.
Proceed with the installation anyways?"

When i hit yes, I get the following error: (attached)

Does anyone encountered this problem?

Experiencing the same issue.
Even building it with maven was not successful for me.

I tried building it, but the first issue was part of JAVA_HOME variable. I had to set it in the environment file and linking it to java 8.
Line looks like this: "JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/"

Unfortunately this hasn't helped me further. The third step led to the next issue, for which I don't have any solution yet:

In summary:
  • Tried eclipse marketplace -> not working
  • Tried drag & drop -> not working
  • Tried "Help > Install New Software..." function out of eclipse -> not working
  • Tried building it with maven -> not working
I'm using Nvidia NSIGHT Eclipse v9.1.

What was your commandline to run maven? Did you follow the instructions in
<https://github.com/15knots/cmake4eclipse#debug-and-build> ?

Sorry, without any messages from error dialogs or the eclipse error log I fear
nobody will be able to help you with this.

Yes, you are totally right. However, thanks for trying to help me.

First of all I would propose to investigate the usually most easiest way installing cmake4eclipse by using Eclipse marketplace.
I attached two pictures for the workflow and one .log file including the error submitted by eclipse when starting the installation.

and here is the .log file uploaded to Google Drive: .log file of eclipse after trying to install cmake4eclipse through marketplace
Do you need something else?

I tried setting up an option, which should allow to read it for everyone.
Could you give it a try again?

It says:
No repository found at jar:https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/15knots/p2-zip/raw/
files/cmake4eclipse-2.1.4.zip!/

Really weird, look like sth. is blockking access to that URL.
Can you download it in a web-browser (or even curl -v URL) from
https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/15knots/p2-zip/raw/files/ ?

BTW: The proper URL to get future updates is
<https://raw.githubusercontent.com/15knots/cmake4eclipse/master/releng/comp-update/>

I could get cmake4eclipse 3.0.6 and install it on Eclipse 2022-12 (Linux) by downloading an archive from this repo:

It worked from me. I installed it from the Help -> Install new software menu item. Getting it from the Eclipse Marketplace didn't work for me either.
