In heat of
Karnataka Assembly Elections and in anticipation of an early Lok Sabha
election, Rahul Gandhi, the Vice President of the Indian National Congress,
has distributed Viagra pills to the party members after misreading the
instruction on the cover of the pill.
The blue pill, originally used
for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, was given to each Congressman after
Rahul Gandhi, accidentally, came across it at a chemist shop and couldn't
resist buying when the instruction, according to him, read, "It
helps in elections" .
The incident came into news when few congressmen
were admitted to AIIMS hospital after its effect lasted for longer than 4
hours. "I spent the first hour wondering how could this help in
election. I was so stupid." said one MP on the condition of
anonymity.
"It is only after I took the pill that I realized Rahul Baba
had misread the instruction." said the other. The hullabaloo over the
incident abated when Facebook announced free treatment and promised to give $1
for each "˜Like' on this article.
Speaking to Faking News, Manish
Tiwari, the Spokesperson of Congress said, "Honorable Vice president Mr. Rahul
Gandhi has been working for the youth of the nation ever since his puberty.
You can question his IQ but not his commitment. He has been, lately, involved
in many political debates with Narendra Modi and has been reading speeches
efficiently. He cannot misread."
Scuttling speculation of a Rahul Gandhi
versus Narendra Modi faceoff in 2014, Tiwari said, "Right now, I
have got a bigger issue at my hand."
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi
himself was not available for the comments. Sources confirmed that he was
visiting those aged and distraught MPs who took Viagra last night and slept as
usual.
"No hard feelings!" are the exact words Rahul Gandhi is
supposed to say to console their bereaved heart, his speechwriter
exclaimed.
According to Prime Minister's Office, even Mr. Manmohan
Singh was asked to have the pill. Apparently, he refused to open his mouth.
Later, PMO India tweeted, "We all wanted Rahul Ji to make it
large. He hasn't failed. Ma'am must be proud."
When Faking
News reporter approached Digvijay Singh, another senior leader of
INC, he said "We have been already screwing with the country
harder than normal and longer than usual. Who needs a pill to win elections
when BJP is the opposition party?"
And quite usual, he went on to
appreciate Rahul Gandhi's motive behind this incident and said, "The
election symbol of Congress party is Hand. He has given it a new
meaning."
"Last night, even I took a pill and it kept me from rolling out
of my bed" , he cracked a joke and winked.
When pointed that BJP is
delighted over this fiasco caused by Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh retorted,
"With the experience we had, we are not dejected
either!"
