All good in Brooklyn, still at Mckinsey serving industrial clients across the Americas. Lots of travel but also lots of flexibility, so all good!

Adding to what’s turning into a baby photo email chain: Lily, now 9 months old. 

We’re currently enjoying a couple weeks in the south of Portugal. Still at Amazon but took the whole year off, so 2019 has mainly been about diapers and playgrounds.

This chain is awesome. In 2013 David Hausman pulled me aside and said “Ay mate, you’re doing a poor job of coordinating CBS Matters sessions”. And I said “hey man in 6 years I will start an email chain about baby’s and make up for it”

 

So hoping I chipped away at some of the deferred obligation with this email.

I’ve missed you guys! So nice to hear what you’re up to. I merged my school with Arizona State University to ensure my students pathway to college and helped grow the ASU Prep charter network of schools to a rural community in AZ. I joined RBC’s municipal finance team a few months ago to help charters across the country issue bonds to pay for their buildings—last person in the class you thought would be a banker, huh? :) I’m still here in my favorite city, Phoenix, but hopefully I can come work on a school near all of you. This month I’ll finish my first transaction for a school focused on kids with autism. My little guy, Ashoka, is 16 months now; us out to brunch a few months ago, below. I hope you’ll visit and let me know when you’re in the Great State of Arizona, as many of you have.

Love seeing all these updates!!! Miss you guys and want to meet all these beautiful babies! 

On my side, still working at Estée Lauder, though have bounced around a bit within the organization— now at Bobbi Brown (not Whitney Houston’s ex-husband) in International Marketing. While I’m just working on selling more lipstick around the world (unlike the amazing impact Akshai is having), it’s been fun! 

On the home front, all is great- Aidan just turned 2 and definitely is keeping Shaheed and me super busy. 

For the NY crew, why don’t we just get a date on the calendar?!  How’s Saturday, Nov. 9th? I’ll try to find a place that’s baby and football-Sunday friendly and send out a calendar invite. Sound ok?

As for me, still in New York in the ag sector. Things are well. Really glad JB got this chain going (I haven’t seen him so energized  about anything, Knot Standard aside, including the entirety of CBS). Love seeing all the pics of everyone and their families. Really awesome! Below are some pics of my daughter May (2.5 years old now).

For those of you that aren’t in New York, I’m sure I’ll see some of you at Hausmann’s wedding in summer 2020 - his husband to be is a really nice guy - I’m sure all of you now understand why it didn’t work out with what seemed like a no brainer Neda/Hausmann partnership.

Love seeing all these updates!!! Miss you guys and want to meet all these beautiful babies! 

On my side, still working at Estée Lauder, though have bounced around a bit within the organization— now at Bobbi Brown (not Whitney Houston’s ex-husband) in International Marketing. While I’m just working on selling more lipstick around the world (unlike the amazing impact Akshai is having), it’s been fun! 

On the home front, all is great- Aidan just turned 2 and definitely is keeping Shaheed and me super busy. 

For the NY crew, why don’t we just get a date on the calendar?!  How’s Saturday, Nov. 9th? I’ll try to find a place that’s baby and football-Sunday friendly and send out a calendar invite. Sound ok?

Seriously though, great idea for putting something together.  Charlotte's B-day party is Sunday the 10th, but I think I can swing Saturday.  Were you guys thinking during the day or evening?  Unlike the old days I actually have to plan and negotiate this shit now ;-).

Amazing! I'll get working on a place for 11/9 (any suggestions welcomed)!  Since we're including the kids, I'll target an earlier time (like 11am start). I tried to be an overachiever and check the college football schedule to further convince some of you that 11am is okay as there will be a game on, but it looks like they don't announce times yet? Confusing... but anywhos, Florida and Texas are each playing at some point... so Toan and Shaheed will be happy.

So amazing to see everyone’s life updates! Very sorry to be missing what sounds like an awesome NYC reunion.

As for me, no kiddos yet but I’m just married last month :). We are back living in Seattle doing the doctor thing. 

We would LOVE to host any visitors (we have an extra bedroom, living in a very fun area of the city).  Please let us know if you come out our way!  Maybe we should have a west coast reunion sometime...

Great to see what everyone's been up to! We would've loved to join the mini-reunion in NYC!

On our side, things have been very well. After coming back from CBS, both Wouter and me traded our corporate jobs for start-ups. And then we both switched again (currently, Wouter is working as a freelance Marketeer and I'm with the Dutch equivalent of the Financial Times). We also added two girls to our family; Rixt is now 3 years old and Alexa is 1. And we moved aalllll the way from Amsterdam to Haarlem, a city about 15 minutes from Amsterdam. For us Dutchies, quite the thing.

To keep the CBS spirit alive, we try to regularly meet up with the other Dutchies. And can happily say that our oldest girl seems to be hitting it off with Pieter and Anne's oldest son (as can be seen in the 2nd picture).

Hope to see you all soon! (We also have a guestroom, in case you are ever around Amsterdam or Haarlem).

Hahaha - yes Fedor (3 years) is quite the casanova! And his younger brother Daan (1,5 years) is following his footsteps quickly.

We moved to Weesp about 3 years ago -- small village 15 min outside of Amsterdam (opposite direction from Floks & Wout) - and took about a year to renovate the old 1890 farm we bought.

Still with McKinsey, working in advanced industries & artificial intelligence. 

Will definitely let you all know when on your side of the world - so sorry to have missed out on the reunion today. Out and about in rainy Netherlands with these two :).

Hope to meet you again soon!!
