good morning fellow cluster hatters

Having a few issues, but first
Using a PI3B, ClusterHAT 2.,5 with 4x Zeros
running CNAT and booting without cards

symptoms:
after powering up a zero, doesn't matter which one;
I successfully logon to the zero
I issue a shutdown command on the zero;
Then it all stops working;

before I power up
pi@cnat:~ $ lsusb -t

Attached r log files; any help will be greatly appreciated;
I am using the usb cable that came with the Clusterhat 1.5, I will try swapping that for the cable that came with the 2.5 (only just found it!), will see if that also removes the power warnings.

small update:
Changing cable to one supplied with 2.5 hat did not work
Is you turn the hub off  "clusterctrl hub off"  and back on again "clusterctrl hub on" it works without the need to reboot;
Then if you ssh onto a zero again and issue a "shutdown -h now" it stops working again.

Thanks

Hi,
 I would advise addressing the power problem to start with (i.e. by using an official power supply if you can) as whilst the Pi3 hardware on the controller can detect and can throttle a Pi Zero can't, so this might be some of the problem.

It’s doesn’t get any more official of a power supply when you use what came with the kit that was ordered directly from PiHut and I have tried my power supplies from PiShop and CanaKit

So try again on your suggestion of using an “official” power supply. I’ve been doing electronic since the mid 1980’s and I have been working with SBC’s since they first came out. So not my “first rodeo” with this stuff.

Something strange is happening then, with the official Raspberry Pi PSU you shouldn't be seeing power issues. What is your setup, do you have anything else plugged in along with the Pi3+ClusterHAT+4xPi Zero?

Is it the official Raspberry Pi PSU ( https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-universal-power-supply/ or https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/micro-usb-power-supply/ ) you're using and if not which PSU did you receive in the bundle?

Chris.
