Hi,
I have just received my first RPi 2w which I am going to replace one of my RPi Zero 1.3 with. Can I just take the sd card from 1.3 and use it in the 2w or do I need to reformat it and start from scratch with a fresh format?
Thanks
Ben

If the image you're using was created before the Pi Zero 2 was released (Oct 2021) then it's unlikely to work.
But, basically I'd advise making sure everything is up to date using apt on the Pi Zero (creating a backup first if you're unsure) and give it a try. If it's a really old install and doesn't support the hardware it's not going to boot so it won't stop it working when you put it back in a Pi Zero.
Chris.

Thanks Chris,
It was only re-imaged a year ago.
Will it support the 64bit though or do I need to reinstall for the 64bit to work?

Update. swapping the sd card over to the RPi Zero 2w worked except it was still only the 32 bit OS so I had to download the 64 bit OS and its working now as a 64 bit node.
