Do you have a guide available that shows a new user how to manually set up the cluster software manually?

One that is a little more detailed than what is currently available at https://clusterctrl.com/setup-software ?

I've got the hardware assembled correctly ( even in the clusterhat case ).

My reason for wanting to learn how to do it manually is so I can better learn the nuts-and-bolts of how simple clusters work, from a hw and sw perspective.

For instance: using Ubuntu ( for the server-side on the Pi 4b ) and sticking with no-frills desktop for the Zeroes.

Thanx!
Jack

Maybe see my 6 part tutorial. I don't know if it's what you need.

Nice write-up!
Very different setup though the cluster-pi using ttyGS0 for everything?
Jack: - I think you'll want to do the manual steps as mentioned on the page you looked at - the actual steps for most of those should line up pretty closely to the build-script I guess as it's found at
https://github.com/burtyb/clusterhat-image/blob/master/build/create.sh  though I have to admit I haven't done it myself.

On your setup Razvan - that must be noisy! I can't recommend using a bigger, lower-rpm fan blowing across the boards instead enough... it could also likely reduce the height of the stack considerably with shorter standoffs between the pi's, but will be more efficient and a lot quieter.
