I've added a new "Testing" section in the rpi-imager JSON - where you'll currently find updated Bookworm and Trixie for testing. These are testing images so if you find a problem please create a new thread here or on Discord ( https://discord.gg/QZdxhgsArW ).

You will need rpi-imager v2 to write the images (download from https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/ ).

Click "APP OPTION"
Click EDIT next to Content Repository
Select "Use custom URL"
Click "APPLY & RESTART".
Networking has changed from RNDIS to a mix of NCM (pX) and ECM (usbboot) which have different USB PIDs so they need to be added to the udev rules on controllers running older images using these two commands. sudo sed -i 's/=="0020"/=="002[0-5]"/' /etc/udev/rules.d/90-clusterctrl.rules sudo udevadm control --reload-rules usbboot images are in https://dist.8086.net/clusterctrl/testing/usbboot/ (trixie usbboot are currently missing as cloud-init still needs to be appeased).

Thank you! I'll post any updates I may have after testing it out.

Just finished a clean install on a Pi4 with Clusterhat 2.5 variant, and 4x Pi Zero 2W on SDCards.  Used Raspberry Pi Imager with the custom json file.  I used the Bridge image for Trixie ARM64.

No issues found, although the initial boot was slow (as per normal).  All five devices were able to fully upgrade their OS without issue.  The Pi4 was also updated to the current EEPROM release without issue.

I'll do some deeper testing over the next week.

Steve
