Hi All

I use the ClusterCTRL Stack in a remote position to be able to switch the individual Pi’s on and off. The middle Pi in the stack now cannot be powered up by the controller, I have changed the Pi but no change. I can power up the Pi by plugging in another power supply to it’s own socket and it works ok. Is there a simple repair or just run it one Pi down.

regards Keith

I would advise looking at the soldering/connectors on the backplane PCB to make sure there are no cracks and the soldering/connector pins look OK

If that looks OK - check around the IC labelled "U4" on the controller PCB for any debris/damage and the 4 pins directly in front of it on the 20-pin connector are what goes to P3 power.

Then on the "U1" IC check pin 27 (on the edge between "R5" and "U1" labels it's the 3rd pin counting from the "R5" corner.

I don't know how long you've had it for but if you can't see anything obvious please get in touch (support at 8086.net.uk) as it should be repairable.

Chris.
