Dear all,

Hope you are well,

I'm a proud new owner of a Raspberry Pi ClusterHAT from the wonderful folks at Pimoroni. I've been playing around with the cluster and setup Webmin to control them all easily - for example to run cron jobs. However, I'm looking for advice in setting up Docker on the cluster. I've done a little research on setting up Docker on a single Raspberry Pi and it seems possible to do so on a single pi (albeit with some hindrance) but I am not certain on how to structure such a cluster.

Thanks,

Sam

Thanks for the link Didier!  Following Alex's info at that link and the docs on the docker site it was very easy to get docker up and going on a Pi2 and four Pi Zeros using the ClusterHAT and create a docker swarm out of them.

Hi all - it's Alex here, glad found the write-up useful!

I'm writing a tutorial on OTG networking and how to create a Docker Swarm - you can see a twitter post here:

I am trying to do this without a ClusterHAT initially because it makes the tutorial more accessible - the problem I'm finding is that the Pi2 can not supply power to 4x Pi Zeros and my Pi3 is very unreliable when powering 4x Zeros. I.e. I will get into a booting / rebooting loop when they're connected at once and can boot fine with none plugged in.

I'm using the black Official RPi power supply.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your tutorial, my Swarm cluster works perfectly with 1x Raspi 2 and 4x Raspi Zero!
