This was one of Micah's FAVORITE songs!

He loved the sounds of: Pink Floyd, Zappa, Clapton, Johnny Cash, U2, B.B. King, Elvis, Lennon, McCartney, Kansas (Dust in the Wind)... Because his mother, Maria Luisa, was from Kansas, and believe it or not, traditional Mexican, Ranchero/Tejano music. If you look up "Siempre Esta en Mi Corazon", THAT was our GOOFY love song, along with "VIVA CHIHUAHUA!"

Then, I would sing to him that sappy, jazz, song from the 80's, by Spandau Ballet, "TRUE". You Brits., know that one.

I hope this brings back memories to a few of you. And to the "young guns", classic rock never fades away!

Abrazos, La Marioposa Apache, and Ghost Dog

"When the message is of truth, peace, beauty and love, we will always have the strength to find our way home, on this, our beautiful Mother Earth".

One of Micah's favorite songs.
Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here" album "Wish You Were Here" 1975

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Ha! I know all of the artists/songs. Does that make me old...?

I'm glad to report that I have a full live recording of the Urique accordion band playing Viva Chihuahua down by the river. That was a really great time.... Actually they played a few songs for us to record. Leslie was there too...

...and I know the Spandau Ballet song too.

Cheers!

Sterling
