HTML5 Web Components - You Should be Using Them Today

A world with no frameworks, directives, Handlebars templates, or crazy, poorly written jQuery plugins? Imagine the capabilities of Angular, Ember or Dojo, but as a foundation of HTML syntax. All you need to do is write:

<my-calendar></my-calendar>

With Web Components , the HTML is really that clean.

In this talk we will learn what Web Components are, and how we can use their awesomeness today. Then there will be examples, code, and Q&A.

Oh, and pizza! Gotta have pizza.

Bio
Mike Wilcox is a senior technical lead, UI/UX design specialist, and front end engineer at Paycor Inc. He is a regular speaker on JavaScript and other web technologies. As co-founder of the JavaScript user group in Dallas, Club AJAX, Mike has spoken on topics that include "Model View Madness" and "JavaScript Object Oriented Inheritance".
