

Writing solid, testable JavaScript might be seen as a confusing or daunting endeavor for some. This presentation will go over some of recommendations for writing JavaScript in a testable manner, confirming functionality by writing unit tests with the Mocha library, and demonstrate how to run these tests in the browser and on the command line using Node.js and Grunt.

Mitch Weaver is a software engineer with over 15 years of
experience developing web applications. He has previously worked for
the United States Air Force as well as several local healthcare
technology companies. In the past, he has worked the typical Microsoft
'full-stack', but in recent years, has placed more emphasis on
JavaScript programming. Mitch has a wife and two young kids, enjoys
