Hello everybody:

Some more long-range planning for some of you.

You'll see a message shown below that was sent by Karl Frunz (and I don't think that's a made-up name!) about "The PrisonerCon2017" event that is planned to occur at the Broadway Performance Hall at Seattle Central Community College on Saturday, September 30th.

Some of you might remember the message I sent out quite a while ago about this event that this same guy had contacted me about the possibility that we (the ELCC) might be interested in attending as a car club, if we brought a few Lotus 7s.

And, some of you might remember the quirky old TV show called "The Prisoner" which kind of featured a Lotus 7 that the star of the show (Patrick McGoogan?) drove before he was captured, and got shown in the roll-on credits before each of the weekly shows started.

Well... during our conversations, Karl has suggested that, not only would he like to see several Lotus 7s in the brick-paved forecourt of the Broadway Performance Hall (on Capital Hill near downtown Seattle), but he would also like to see a bunch more Lotus models. In other words, we have been invited to have a virtual Lotus Only Car Show at the Seattle Central Community College campus this coming fall. Pretty fun huh!?!!

Of course, Saturday, September 30th is kind of a long ways off, but I thought a few of you might like to know about this event and maybe even "pencil it in" on your calendars.

Happy New Year!   I hope you made it into this new year with joy and tranquility, ready to take on 2017.

We're still expanding and growing the program for The Prisoner Con 2017, and here's an example:

On Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 we'd like to collaborate with the Evergreen Lotus Car Club (www.elcc.org) to host their monthly get together on the red brick area in front of The Broadway Performance Hall / Main building--similar to the weekly Sunday market.

In this manner, the attendees of The Prisoner Con will have the joyful surprise of coming our of The Hall (for breaks and lunch) to encounter an amazing collection of Lotus vehicles INCLUDING several of the exact model used in The Prisoner TV show.

Can you please direct me to the person at SCC who would have authority over the process for applying and gaining permission to host the ELCC event on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017?

Hello again:

I am glad to have gotten a couple of responses to the message shown below about a unique opportunity to show our Lotus cars to a whole new crowd of people and I hope that a bunch more of you will decide to take part in this event, as it gets closer.

Because the Broadway Performance Hall at Seattle Central Community College's brick-paved forecourt is completely exposed to the sidewalks and streets that surround it, I think that a Lotus Only Car Show could attract quite a bit of attention way beyond simply the people attending the Prisoner Con 2017 event... it could be a lot of fun!!!

More details when I know them.
