There are no replies to any threads! This community is almost not
existing! Strange to see this after you see the number of Indian
students at UB!
Nobody is intrested to help after they are all settled here, very
dissapointing! I am also a fresher and faced similar problems here!

There is an Indian Student's Association (called Club India) at UB. Their
activity level varies from year to year and it seems like they are dormant
currently. That's why no replies.

UB runs a shuttle to the airport and back for new International students
just before the semester starts. You can find more info here:

http://www.bridgeport.edu/life/servicesforstudents/shuttle.aspx

You can also take Primetime Shuttle (costs $60) from airport to UB.

Usually other Indian students are looking for roommates at UB. So if you
send an email a month before you arrive on this list, you will get replies
from those seeking roommates.

Hope this helps.

Here's more info about the shuttle from JFK airport to UB:

If you arrive at JFK or LaGuardia airports, please use Go Airport Shuttle
(Prime Time Shuttle) to the University of Bridgeport. Do not take a taxi
directly from the airport to Bridgeport. It is very expensive!

•Make a reservation with Go Airport Shuttle.(
http://2theairport.hudsonltd.net/res?USERIDENTRY=ELI&LOGON=GO)
When you arrive at the airport, look for “Ground Transportation
Information”.
•Tell them you want GO Airport Shuttle to Bridgeport, Connecticut.
•They will help you call the shuttle company and show you where to wait.
•Tell the driver you are going to University of Bridgeport.
•The ride to UB takes aout 1-1 1/2 hours. The last shuttle leaves at 11:30
p.m. The cost is $59. You should give the driver a tip of about $5.
