I hope this email finds you doing well. Please allow me to introduce
myself. I’m a South Asian independent filmmaker with a goal to support
and work with other independent filmmakers to make relevant and
meaningful feature films.

I have just finished an independent feature film called Promise Land
(www.promiselandfilm.com).

You can watch the first look teaser at:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=911423233492

The film is a brilliant, intense and engaging drama about the lives of
a few individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. The film weaves
together three compelling narratives that focus on immigration issues.
Inspired by real life stories, the plot revolves around South Asian
immigrants living in Chicago and the people they encounter. It's about
their unique struggles, triumphs, conflicts and challenges. It's
funny, touching, heart-warming, and more importantly, it is a film
with a powerful social message that relates to current events.

I would love the opportunity to collaborate with you and your
organization to help bring this film to your university for a
screening. For more information and to show your support for this film
please click on "Like" at http://www.facebook.com/PromiseLandFilm

Please let me know if you’d be interesting in helping us to spread the
word and hold a screening after April 2011 on your campus. Look
forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
