I have not been down to Cabo for two years, but will be there next week.  Are there any new restaurants to check out?  Any old favorites you may have tried that I have not?

We were in Cabo in May also. Maria Corona is very good. Try Maria Jimenez. Only seven tables - make reservations well in advance. They don’t serve alcoholic drinks. They’ve been known to open your bottle of wine and supply the glasses.

Not a big fan. Can be extremely hot this time of year. It is cheap and passable. Depends on your taste and what you are looking for; they do have very cold beer.

Here's an early evening idea for you; go into the Marina to the Baja Cantina for Happy Hour. The sautéed mushrooms are pretty darn good and other appetizers are all about $3 to $4 each. We usually sit overlooking the boardwalk, drink good $3 Margaritas, munch and the people watching is very entertaining - especially some of the locals and yacht owners. You may decide to stay for dinner; but, they have gotten a little pricey for an entrée. Be careful, it is tempting to go to their place near the Office -- it is a different experience from the Marina.

Can't recommend Gardenia too highly.  Tacos and Molcajete.  That's the lava bowl full of cheese, shrimp, onion and bell pepper with tacos.  Eniugh for two and another meal back at the Club.
Turn left out of the club and walk toward town.  Turn left at the first street after Ace Hardware and Gardenia is down a half block on the right.  Been going for 20 years.  Same family.
Had a great steak at reasonable price at the winery.  Out of the way location.  Take a cab unless they have moved to the Marina.
Pitahya at the Sheraton is consistent and great.

La Gandolina - you can walk from the club.  Shrimp are HUGE - includes  a really good salad.  Outdoors.  Twinkly lights, very nice atmosphere.    

La Dolce - downtown.  Best Italian around.

As a side note...not food related, but Monkey Business just down from Cabo Wabo coming towards Cascadas

has beautifully made and tasty Margaritas, just ask my wife ...David the young Bartender is awesome and the beers are cold.

 

Also can't go wrong at Tabasco's next to Cascadas..good quick food/snack.

Left out of Club
Left first street after Ace Hardware. (If you get to the fire station you've gone too far).
Gardenia is about one-half block down on the right,
