Murders in Cabo

After 25 years of visiting cascadas things have escalated to a point that we feel no longer safe 6 murders yesterday the police chief killed last week and countless atrocities kidnappings and druggings are taking place daily. We no longer feel safe visiting this beautiful area that we have enjoyed for so many years. And all of this on top of if you ever need emergency medical attention which is virtually non-existent.

Wow! So now what do we do? Never return and forgo our timeshares and investments in Cabo? Way to put a damper on the Holidays ! Any tourist targeted? Travel warnings by the State Department? You have a timeshare to sell cheap?

Sorry Al that you don't feel safe, but this place is awesome !!.  You can get killed in Las Vegas, NY, or even sleepy little San Bernardino.  I will also tell you that you are dead wrong on emergency med service, my wife had 4 seizures 2 weeks ago.  The ambulance was here in a few minutes and her care at the hospital was 1st rate and the bill was 25% of what it would have been in the states, great care by Dr. who 3 days later came to club for a follow-up visit to check on his patient, try getting that at home.

It’s sad that you concluded this. But if you feel it’s safer in the US then maybe you should remain there and vacation near massacre remains at churches, high schools, fast food chains, concerts in Vegas and attempt procuring independent healthcare in the US. But for everyone else’s sake please attempt to get the facts and back stories correct and in order before broadcasting more “fake news”.

Certainly this is the most violent year in the history of BCS.  Cartels are the main culprits with many gang related deaths.  This should concern us all and we should take extra precautions as we travel to Cabo.  My family of 20 go every year and will continue this great vacation experience but with clearly defined precautions.  I spend a month in Cabo and have never witnessed or been a victim of crime in Cabo,  can’t say the same for my time in the US.

As far as Emergency Medical Care?  It doesn’t get any better than Club Casdas!  Two heart attacks and CPR by Cascadas Staff saved my life.  Quick Life Flight to San Diego where the Heart Specialists were astonished I was still alive and gave all the credit to the CPR administered professionally and expediently by Club Cascadas.

BCBS, no life Flight ins.  Have Life Flight Ins now.  Cost me 30k out of pocket for flight, BCBS paid an additional $25K.  The bill was $328k which they wrote off after we caught them in a lie, fortunately BCBS recorded the preauthorization phone call.  Hospital bill in Cabo was $6k which BCBS covered

The club is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, and I look forward to my trips every year.  Still we can't ignore that the climate is different than it was when we first started going 23 years ago.  If you have young people who like to go out at night it's more important than ever that they exercise caution and good judgement.  My own young adults have been approached to buy drugs just walking ahead of us on the beach to the office.  Bad things can happen everywhere, best not to put yourself in harms way.
