Dear teachers,

I’m writing to invite you to participate in a research project titled “Intercultural experience of L1 teachers of Chinese in Australian schools”, conducted by the Chinese Teacher Training Centre,  by completing an online survey: http://sgiz.mobi/s3/36df515899cc . The project has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of Melbourne. A plain language statement in Chinese is attached to this email.

The survey link is intended for L1 teachers. If you are a L2 teacher of Chinese, you may also be interested in the matters brought up. Instead of completing the survey, I would like to invite you to participate in a focus group discussion at a later stage of the project. You can have a read of the plain language statement attached and let me know if you are interested. Thank you

Best regards,

I am very keen to meet with someone who has marked the HSC, for a bit of advice and assistance in

  • how to mark my students' essays to an HSC standard
  • any tips on how to go about teaching composition writing skills
I don't want to take up too much precious holiday time- perhaps an hour for a quick chat? Naturally I am happy to share whatever resources that I have that could be of use.

Happy to travel to wherever you are, whenever suits!

kind regards,
