I. CLTA-VA Chinese pedagogy workshop on Saturday, October 11 in Woodberry Forest School
Topic:New Trends for Teaching and Learning Chinese: A Blended Learning Model -
Dr. Chao will serve as the key workshop trainer. As a professor and head of the Chinese Program at Hunter College, she has a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from New York University. Dr. Chao received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education in 2001 to establish the Chinese Literacy Project. She will present a topic about new trends for teaching and learning Chinese, followed by the afternoon seminar by Mr. Scott, and swap workshops.

II. CLTA-VA Chinese sessions at FLAVA, September 25 - 27 in Williamsburg
The CLTA-VA continues to make efforts to maintain affiliation with FLAVA in any way. We are going to have a get-together over luncheon on Saturday. III. CLTA-VA workshop in Spring 2015
The CLTA-VA workshop will be scheduled in spring 2015. Detailed information will be released early spring.
