Thatwould mean either the iPhone SE 2nd Gen is actually supposed to have Live Wallpaper, or this article is not updated, or incorrect. I feel like it's the former; this article says "1st generation", implying that it was updated to reflect the fact that there is now a 2nd generation. If somebody went and added "1st generation" to this article upon the release of the 2nd gen, wouldn't they have mentioned that the new phone did not support Live Wallpaper?

Unfortunately The iPhone SE 2020 Model does not currently Support The Live Wallpaper feature found on most other iPhones, if you need information on how to check out how to set your wallpaper on general Check Out This Article -us/HT200285, Hope this Helps, Have A Great Day!

I fully agree with his statement that "wouldn't they have mentioned that the new phone did not support Live Wallpaper?", can @sberman please check on this? You seem to be our own help and the most professional member on this topic at the moment.

It is weird. You can have a live wallpaper, but you cant set a live wallpaper on the se. I had a live wallpaper set on my iPhone 7 plus and i had it backed up. I used the backup on my SE(2020) and the live wallpaper works. It seems as if they want to restrict the use of live wallpapers on the se for some reason.

I have an Iphone 11 Pro running the latest iOS 15.4. Live wallpapers do not work in the lock screen. Haptic touch is active, low battery mode is off, reduced motion is off. I tried everything. I tried Apple's stock live wallpapers, i've tried my own, nothing worked. In the live wallpaper review it works fine, but when i lock my screen and try it, it didn't move when i touch. However where it does work is on the screen when you swipe down from the top (not the control center), where you can see notifications, but that's after unlocking the screen. How do i get around this? I want to be able to have it move when the screen is locked which im sure is what it's supposed to be able to do.

Im running into an issue with the new ipadOS17 live photo wallpapers feature. I'm trying to convert a video into a live photo using several apps from the app store like IntoLive, VideoToLive. Once these videos are converted to the live photo format and I try to set them as a wallpaper, the wallpaper menu states that the wallpaper is not supported or more clearly it says "Motion from this live photo is not supported as a wallpaper". I've tried reducing the video quality, video length, aspect ratio, and none of those options seem to fix the issue. The only live wallpapers that appear to work are those taken from the iPad camera. I hope this can be fixed since its one of the new major features of iPadOS 17.

I just got off of the phone with support and they said that old photos are not compatible, even ones that were compatible with iOS 15. Nothing I'm seeing seems to be able to be worked around. Of course, AppleCare had no idea why because they're not engineering, but what away to break a nice feature so that they could separate the subject's head and put it in front of the time.

The problem I'm having is that when I click 'Set Wallpaper' it begins my wallpaper service, then if I go back into my live wallpaper and click 'Set Wallpaper' again, it doesn't seem to close the previous service, but just runs another as well. This means each time I click 'Set Wallpaper' an image from the users SD card is read into a Bitmap variable and increases the memory used each time, which eventually throws an OutOfMemoryError.

For example, if I had my wallpaper set, then chose to set the 'Galaxy' live wallpaper, this would destroy my wallpapers service, but when setting my wallpaper again, it does not destroy the original service.

Before setting wallpaper again. Destroy the previous wallpaper. This worked for me. And Destroy Wallpaper in Activity from which you are calling WallpaperService. Destroying inside WallpaperService results in default Wallpaper of device.

It seems that when I already have my wallpaper running, then I click 'Set wallpaper' on its preview, the onDestroy() method isn't called. However, nullifying Bitmaps and calling stopSelf() can be put in the onSurfaceDestroyed method, this seems to work for each instance of the WallpaperService Engine open. It might not be the correct way to do things but it seems to work ok at the moment.

Since I'll have a free and paid version, in the free one I'd also like to make the user aware of the paid versions features, or even enable those features while previewing the wallpaper, but not when it's actually running on the homescreen to avoid annoying them.

In order to see an icon in the live wallpaper menu, you need to set the android:thumbnail attribute for the applications tag. This will normally be found in the XML file corresponding to the class that extends WallpaperService.

Looking at the CubeLiveWallpaper sample application provided with the SDK, we see this tag to be located in cube1.xml and cube2.xml. A modified version below displays the icon thumb.png located in res/drawable and provides a description defined in strings.xml

inside the res/drawables directories you will see icon.png. you change this file to be the icon you want. the hdpi are for the devices with high density, like the nexus one, or evo. mdpi is for devices like the myTouch or G1

...The resolution used seems to be a lot larger than the launcher icon resolution, using 48 for medium or 72 for high gives a very blurred image on both the emulator and real devices, leading me to think there is some scaling going on...

Hi there Aravisian, i am relatively new to Zorin i started with a try on version 15.

Now im back with 16Beta and im realy happy i found it it`s working like a shine.

I could get an live wallpaper working and would like to try the one with flying in space, could you please tell me were i can find that .

Thanks ahead keep up the good work.

Greetings Dirk.

Hi Aravisian, i went to the page in the link and ended up for Windows live wallpapers. I was hoping to get more on Zorin16 that i am working on right now.

Realy love the looks of it works like a shine and very fast. Sadly there is still very little on the blog about it, i`m sure there is much to find on google most is refering to ubuntu or Zorin 15 witch is absolutely diferent IMO.

Maybe because, I've used live wallpapers in the past and every time a client opened up the wallpaper paused so it can reduce my ram and CPU usage. But having anything running in the background will slow your PC down a bit. I would like to say, that it uses a fare bit of memory though but I think your PC performance wont have a major effect with live wallpapers running.

Hi there , click on settings , applications , running services , then you should see your live wallpaper , click on that and then settings , the just choose wallpaper instead of live wallpaper and this will stop it and revert to a normal sony paper or whatever else you have in there .

I have used the Live Earth wallpaper for many years on all the phones I ever owned. Even now I used it with Nothing Phone 2 just like with every other phone. But with the latest update I can only pick a picture or Nothing wallpaper. There is no option for Live Wallapapers anymore. Should I report it to Nothing or is this a feature?

This creates a blank wallpaper which you can start up and prints out "Hello World. Does Godot go here?" But that's as far as I've gotten. I'm having trouble linking the actual godot game with the Wallpaper service.

Looking around online, you might want to use libgdx anyway for a lower memory footprint and faster loading times. It seems the most common advice when trying to use a game engine for a live wallpaper is to use something lower level instead if you can.

Mmm yeah I saw this. I was thinking with the type of live wallpaper stuff I'm going to do, the graphics and power usage will probably be the same since it is opengl and it will be rendering at 60 frames a second. I use a pretty intense livewallpaper on my phone as well. Its pretty smooth and doesnt take too much batteries either.

It sounds like there might be compatibility issues with the default app on your ROG 5 for playing live wallpapers. Have you tried reaching out to ASUS customer support for assistance? They may be able to provide troubleshooting steps or updates to resolve this issue. Additionally, exploring forums or online communities dedicated to ROG phones might yield solutions from other users who have encountered similar problems!

I'm using an app that's considered as a live wallpaper on my home screen. The app is an auto wallpaper changer, 4K Wallpapers. The issue is that OneUi home doesn't recognize the wallpapers as normally and doesn't convert the color to black in white wallpapers or to white in dark wallpapers, it's always in white.

If you have an iPhone and there are videos that you want to turn into live wallpapers, you have options. However, you'll have to first convert those videos to live photos. From there, you'll be able to find the live photo in your library and set it as your wallpaper.
