Trip Purpose:
Disney performing arts is a leader in its field and educational
workshops at the Disneyland Resort provide a perfect setting for
students to learn industry-leading standards and performance
techniques blended with the magic of Disney.
Our featured workshop, Auditions and Careers in Acting, provides
intermediate and advanced theatre students an opportunity to follow in
the footsteps of Disneyland Resort performers going through a
simulated audition process. Disneyland Resort show directors will
critique each students audition to show how students can increase
their talents and improve their chances of landing a job as a
professional actor. Once the students have been “cast” they will learn
a Disney show scene and along the way will be shown the tricks of the
Disney trade that will make their performance exemplary. We must have
a minimum 15 students to book this workshop.
In addition to our workshop, students will also be attending multiple
theatrical performances at the Disneyland Resort including “Billy Hill
& The Hillbillies”, “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln”, “High School
Musical 3”, “Playhouse Disney- Live on Stage!”, and “Turtle Talk with
Crush”.
Trip Dates: March 12, 13, 14, 2010
Details:
March 12: Depart Fresno train station at 5:15 pm. Arrive in Anaheim at
10:50pm. Take ART to hotel, check in, lights out.
March 13: Depart hotel at 7:!5. Park opens at 8:00am. Workshop details
and show times will be available at a later time. Depart from the park
at 12:00am.
March 14: Depart hotel at 7:15am, checkout of hotel. Park opens at
8:00am. Show times available at a later time. Depart Disneyland at
4:30. Pickup luggage at hotel, and take ART to Anaheim train depot.
Depart Anaheim on Amtrak at 6:00pm, arrive at Fresno train station at
12:00am.
Please note: all students are expected to attend school on March 12
and March 15. Failure to do so may result in school disciplinary
action and students would be unable to attend future drama field
trips.
Please note: all transportation will be through Amtrak and Anaheim
Rapid Transit (ART).
For students over 15 Years Old= $245 (w/Annual Pass $155)
For students under 15 years old= $220 (w/Annual Pass $130)
Approximate Breakdown:
Transportation (Amtrak and ART): $55, $30 (for students under 15
years old)
Hotel: $60
Disneyland Two-Day Park Hopper Tickets & Workshops: $130
All meals not included.
Full payment with a parent permission slip due no later than Friday,
February 12.
* This trip is NOT mandatory NOR EXPECTED of students. No course grade
will be given for any activities related to the field trip. It is an
optional trip being made available to students interested in
additional theatrical training and opportunities.
