Hi,

We are planning a picnic get-together for the Sunday after the reunion. Silver Creek in Norton had been suggested, so Janice (Bastik) was looking into it for us. We spoke today and found out the pavilion there only holds 48. The facilities there are very nice...paddle boats, snack bar, fishing, playground, swimming, hiking, but we are concerned about the having enough room. The only other place I can think of in the area is Loyal Oak Lake Park also in Norton on Hametown Rd. The playground and mini golf areas are not that nice, but the swimming area and pavilions are more spacious.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Preferably in Medina County or close surrounding area. We need to make a decision on this soon. Reservations for Silver Creek for the summer season begin Monday morning and they usually book up fast. Please post your thoughts.

Thanks,
Stacey (Evanish)
Janice (Bastik)

I think the Silver Creek location will work. Even if the pavillion
only holds 48, that only becomes an issue if it's raining. Which will
probably make the number of attendees decline. People will also be
able to set up their own picnic areas with folding chairs, etc. And a
lot of folks will be swimming or paddle boating or playing mini golf,
so I don't think the whole group will need to be under one pavillion
at the same time. I say we should reserve it.

I second that vote.
